The garage for a man resembles a large, walk-in closet for a woman. This is where he stores all of his handy tools and where he keeps his beloved vehicle. Oftentimes, the garage has a “keep out” sign to women because it is a territory that only men should enter. Therefore, if you do not want your lady to meddle with your business in your garage, make sure to tidy it up or else it might take you hours to find the screwdriver that you just left near the box of screws.
As much as possible, allocate one day per month to organize your stuff in the garage. On the onset of occupying this space, you should have designated areas where you put specific tools in. For an instance, there could be one small cabinet where you can keep your handyman tools, another cabinet for your car tools, and an area dedicated for garden tools. This way, it will not be difficult for you and even for your family members to locate the specific device that you need for a certain occasion.
You should immediately dispose off unused items so that they will not be a clutter inside your garage. Empty bottles or cans of oil and brake fluid should be thrown away properly as they may be harmful to health. Rubber stoppers and other unusable plastic materials should also be disposed properly.
After organizing and throwing unused stuff, you may want to sweep or dust off your garage to keep it shiny. Doing all of these may be hard work for you but this will certainly make your garage your own, and cleaning the garage is also a good form of exercise.
